SEACOAST LIGHTNING WOMENS HOCKEY SIGNS LICENSING AGREEMENT WITH SEACOAST SPARTANS
Seacoast Women’s Hockey Association (SWHA) and its Seacoast Lightning branded women’s hockey teams will be rebranded to the “Seacoast Spartans” starting in the 2016-17 hockey season. The long term license agreement between SWHA and the Seacoast Spartans seeks to energize its female customer base by rebranding its women’s program with the prominent Spartans brand.
“We are very proud of our Lightning heritage and extremely excited to have our teams aligned with the long standing Spartans brand”, said SWHA President, Bill Kopecky. “Our goal is to provide equally as strong opportunities for Seacoast women hockey players and this rebranding is a big step in that direction. The SWHA non-profit board will remain intact and continue to oversee the direction of the women’s hockey program.
